Future Project
Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all
we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and
all there ever will be to know and understand.
— Albert Einstein
Have you ever tried to throw a ball while looking in the opposite direction? If not, don’t worry — you haven’t missed much. The problem is: that’s exactly how we often communicate about climate change. We talk about sacrifice, bans and catastrophe. This perspective has its place — but on its own, it rarely motivates action.
I invite you to look forward instead and identify goals we want to achieve together: to see climate change not just as a crisis, but as an opportunity to transform our systems and co-create a world that is more sustainable, just, beautiful and worth living in.
Can’t imagine such a world yet? That’s not a personal failing — and you’re not alone. This is exactly where Future Project comes in.
What awaits you
Future Project is a gym for your imagination. Hope and positive visions of the future are indispensable — especially in difficult times — and can coexist with climate grief and worry. I’ll show you how to consciously train “active hope” and your imagination as tools for effective action.
Step by step, you leave the climate-dystopian comfort zone and put the superpower of your imagination to constructive, proactive use. Using novel, creative and contemplative methods from Active Participatory Futuring, you give your imagination wings. Together with others, you explore how different solutions interconnect and where obstacles lie. We test scenarios, shift perspectives and think about the future in vivid, playful and impactful ways.
Future Project helps you envision the world you want to live in — with all your senses and on multiple levels. This vision becomes your compass — for concrete next steps towards your future.
Formats
I offer tailored workshops matched to your learning objectives: from a compact introduction to a multi-day retreat. Tone, scope and content are individually adapted to your needs.
Suitable for companies, NGOs, schools and universities looking for new ways to combine climate engagement with joy and personal growth.
My expertise
I bring together years of experience in the climate movement with Greenpeace, rigorous research in climate communication and an artistic approach — for workshops that move people and leave a lasting impression.
During my Master’s in Communication for Social Change (Simon Fraser University), I developed Future Project. Based on current research in climate communication, psychology and Active Participatory Futuring, a novel, effective format with creative and contemplative methods was born.
